An economic empowerment program that primarily targets rural and peri-urban youth and women who are underemployed and lack the financial resources and know-how to create viable sustainable businesses.

It is primarily achieved through the promotion of sustainable exploitation of the natural resources base by encouraging appropriate agribusinesses practices by addressing four main hurdles blocking youth and women entrepreneurship in agribusinesses:

  • Negative Perception of the sector
  • Lack of capacity to design and implement a business
  • Lack of access to land and natural resources
  • Lack of access to finance
